Chronospace
UX/UI Design
This project was part of a D&AD challenge: to bridge the gap between Gen Z and Christopher Ward, a well-known online exclusive watch brand. Taking the digital experience approach, I aimed to create something that would truly connect with Gen Z and inspire brand advocacy.

Memories are getting lost in the scroll. While people constantly document their lives through photos and videos, today’s platforms encourage quick sharing, not meaningful reflection. There's no space to pause, look back, and truly reconnect with the moments that matter.
-
At our core, we love to revisit and reflect. That’s why we capture memories in the first place. But what if there were a space not built for outward sharing, but to help us slow down and engage more deeply with ourselves through the memories we’ve already made?

Chronospace is a digital platform inspired by the craftsmanship of Christopher Ward watches, designed to help Gen Z slow down and reconnect with what matters. Users can capture moments, tag how they feel, and return anytime to reflect. It creates a more meaningful experience of time by linking memories, moods, and reflection, naturally building a deeper connection between Gen Z and the brand.
Memories, moods and reflection
We live in a time where everything moves fast, and moments pass us by before we can truly feel them. With this project, I set out to create a space that not only helps people save those moments, but also slow down and reflect on them through moods..
Inspiration and Ideation
It’s how we felt in the moment that makes the memory stick when we look back. To help users connect more deeply with their memories, I took inspiration from the Circumplex Model (a psychological framework that maps emotions based on arousal and valence) and existing mood trackers. Building on these foundations, I created a design that similarly allows users to capture how they feel in a specific moment and reflect on it later. The use of bubbles was intended to create a more intuitive interaction, removing the need for users to ‘guess’ or precisely position themselves on a slider. Instead, they can quickly tap the emotion that best matches how they feel.

“I feel like time’s slipping away.”
Through user interviews, I discovered that many people felt a sense of urgency because “time is slipping away” . There was a clear desire to slow down and reflect. Alongside this, a competitive analysis of watch brands and mood-tracking apps helped me see two key gaps: watch brands often lack deeper emotional connection with their audience, while mood apps showed successful designs that allow users to express their mood accurately.
Design
Starting with sketches and moving to high-fidelity wireframes, the design was an iterative process shaped by constructive feedback. I wanted the app to feel like a quiet space away from the noise, yet still vibrant, which is why I chose a dark theme balanced with bright colors that reflect moods. Additionally, user testing revealed that the visual design sparked interest, which played a key role in user engagement.
A space to reflect
Instead of boring, one-sided journaling, I designed a space that feels responsive and conversational by leveraging the use of AI. The reflection space provides insights and highlights patterns in how users feel over time, making reflection more natural and emotionally supportive. While AI adds meaningful value, I also considered the ethical implications. If developed further, user data would be kept private and only processed to enhance the individual experience.
“Interacting with time”
The watch captures your emotions throughout the day, with each colored glow representing a mood and the memory connected to it.
Creating Shared Experiences
I wanted to create a sense of connection that didn’t rely on public posting or performative sharing. Instead, Chronospace is about building community through real connections, with people you actually know, by creating a shared space to reflect and grow a timeline of moments together.
